Nairobi, Kenya on 27 February 2025 The Nairobi International Cup (NaiCup), East Africa’s premier grassroots football tournament, has officially launched its 2025 calendar, featuring an expanded lineup of events aimed at developing young football talent.

Kicking off the year is the Under-13 Boys NaiCup Legacy Cup, taking place March 1st,2025, at the Two Rivers Sports District, in partnership with Swim Africa. This tournament will feature 16in the Playoffs, to Quarter finals, then Semifinals and the finals from top regional football academies in Nairobi.
“This year, NaiCup is bigger and better, offering more opportunities for young players to be scouted and gain exposure,” said Kevin Akumu, NaiCup Founder/Tournament Director. “The Legacy Cup is the perfect way to kick off the year, setting the stage for an exciting season of football development.”

Following the Legacy Cup, NaiCup will continue with key events, including:

- July: Women’s Showcase – A celebration of women’s football excellence
- August 12th-18th: The main NaiCup Tournament at Lenana School & Polo Grounds
With over 10,000 participants and 294 registered teams in NaiCup2024, NaiCup continues to be a leading force in grassroots football, bridging the gap between young talent and professional opportunities. Already 320 have been approved for NaiCup2025
NaiCup Legacy Programme
