This isn’t just a story about a building; it’s the story of a vision coming to life. The journey to create the SKEIYA GROUP Home of Football began with a simple but powerful question: What if we could build a place where Africa’s passion for the game meets its massive economic potential? We saw a continent bursting with youthful talent and energy, yet its sports infrastructure was sitting on the sidelines. We knew it was time to build not just a stadium, but a destination.
Our journey started by looking at the numbers, and they told a compelling story. While Africa produces world-class athletes, its sports economy remains a hidden gem. We saw the incredible success of events like the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, which created hundreds of thousands of jobs. We looked at Kenya’s own World Rally Championship and saw how it boosted local businesses. This wasn’t just about sport; it was about community and commerce. We realized that a modern sports facility could be a 365-day economic engine, much like Manchester City’s transformed stadium, which became a year-round hub of activity and income.
With the “why” clear, we began designing the “how.” We asked: how do we create a place that serves everyone? The answer was our three-zone blueprint. We designed vibrant public spaces to be the heart of the community, premium facilities to nurture elite talent, and a dedicated women’s complex to champion empowerment and wellness. This wasn’t about copying international models, but about learning from them like Real Madrid’s multi-purpose stadium or Arsenal’s revenue-savvy design and then tailoring a solution for our own vibrant, diverse market.
Our build strategy became a journey in itself: a phased approach. By starting with the public spaces, we ensured the project would generate its own momentum and revenue from the very beginning, funding the next stages of growth in a sustainable way.
A key part of our journey was insisting that SKEIYA Home of Football be for everyone. We saw the global explosion in women’s sports 300% growth in three years and knew we had to be part of it. Building the women-only complex was a non-negotiable leg of the journey. It’s a statement that the future of African sports is inclusive, and smart business besides. It addresses a gap in the market while tapping into a powerful movement of empowerment.
The final push in our journey is happening now because all the signs say “go.” Africa’s youth are its superpower, and the world is taking notice, from Rwanda’s landmark deals with American sports teams to global broadcasters investing in African content. With millions of fans coming online, the next five years are critical. We are building SKEIYA GROUP at the perfect moment to catch this wave, creating a home that will be a cornerstone of Africa’s sustainable sports boom.
The journey to build SKEIYA has been one of conviction, strategy, and a deep belief in Africa’s potential. We’ve laid the groundwork, learned from the best, and designed a home for the beautiful game that will inspire, empower, and prosper for generations to come. The final whistle hasn’t blown; this is just the kick-off.
Keep it locked for the groundbreaking event.
