About James Situma
James Situma’s distinguished football career spans over two decades, with a proven track record as a versatile defensive midfielder and defender. He has played for top Kenyan clubs, including Nzoia Sugar, Nairobi City Stars, Sofapaka, A.F.C. Leopards, and Tusker, and made history in 2011 as the first Kenyan to compete in Albania’s Kategoria Superiore with KF Tirana, winning the Albanian Supercup in his debut season.
Situma earned 39 caps for the Kenya national team (2009-2016), scoring two goals and playing a pivotal role in the 2013 CECAFA Cup victory. Beyond his on-field accomplishments, he has been a tireless advocate for player welfare, serving as President of the Kenya Footballers Welfare Association (KEFWA) since 2015, where he champions contractual rights, fair compensation, and professional development for footballers.
